Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat chronic sinus problems. Using a thin telescope (called an endoscope) the surgeon can view the sinus passages and gently remove blockages such as inflamed tissue or polyps. This helps restore normal drainage and ventilation of the sinuses. The surgery is performed entirely through the nostrils, so there are no external cuts, and most patients experience quick recovery and improved sinus function.
