Canaloplasty
When the ear canal is too narrow – it can lead to recurrent ear infections, wax obstruction, hearing loss and difficulty in wearing a hearing aid. A canaloplasty can be done to open the bony ear canal. Most of the time a microscope and ear drill will be used. The patient will have a ear plug that will have to be changed regularly for a few months to prevent re stenosis of the narrow ear canal.
